Yes, a new month and a new blogsticker...you may recall that I have to put the blogsticker tag in my template, so the same one will show up on every post now, but that's cool, go to my tripod site to see retired and future blogstickers. Work was somewhat hectic today, the rest of the hospital got a new computer system, and some patients were accidentally discharged from the pharmacy computer. They were dilligently working on it when I left. I will say that this is the best IS department I have worked with. They are very nice and knowledgeable. I used to work with "Nick Burns, your company's computer guy!" For those of you who don't know, that is a skit on SNL starring the multi-talented and very hot Jimmy Fallon. (aka my friend Maureen's husband, he just doesn't know it yet! I made her a bumper sticker which read, "My other car has Jimmy Fallon in the trunk! She loved it!) "Nick" is very condescening and will fix something for you, but will never show you how to fix it yourself, typical! But at the hospital they really are cool.

I got 2 integrated remote controls, one for the bedroom, one for the living room. Amazingly, the controls actually control all my components..what a miracle! And the remote is way cool! I am exited! It used to take 3 or 4 remotes just to set the VCR to tape something, now just one..aaaaaaaahhhhhh!
I had finally found some red ticking stripe sheets for my bed, I have had the same sheets for 12 years, they were pretty faded, these new sheets are bright and cheery. I had to wait forever for the pillowcases, they just shipped today. YAY! I am looking for a new comforter too, it's been 12 years for that too, but I can't find one I love-love-love like the other one. And I would need a table round and valance to match as well, so that narrows the field. Oh, well, it's fun to look
…and now it is time once again for "The Daily (Almost) Affirmation to The Little Girl", the little girl inside me who for 30 years or more has been my protector….
Well, tired today huh? That's ok, everyone is tired sometimes. We will sleep well tonight and feel great in the morning, I just know it! And this week is nice, only 2 more days then we have 2 days off! And we get to see a lot of out-of-town family at the picnic Thursday! Anyway, we were in the adult today, even though we were tired, and that means a lot, we've come a long way, stick with me, "kid," and we'll go far! We'll go so far that we'll be coming out the other side! YAY! US! We are so brave for seeking help! I wish more people were brave like us, but even if not, that's ok, we are learning to deal with those people. ..and this has been the…

I wanted to put a new blogsticker up today, but Tripod is slower than you-know-what! I will keep trying as I type. I have a "free" site (read: site with ads) on Tripod to host my images, and on the last day of the month sometimes I have to wait a LONG time, or just wait til the next day. I may have to try again tomorrow. I can't believe I haven't posted in a week! I worked some evenings this week so my body clock is all messed up, then I don't really have time before work, as I get up at the "crack of noon" or "crack of 12:30" as my friend April says-when I work evenings. So after work it's almost midnight and I collapse into bed! Oh, well, not much exciting this week. A long, busy week at work. Everyone but the pharmacy got a new computer system, we will probably not be using the pharmacy part of the new system. Oh, well, start all over..no biggie :^) The transition went pretty well Friday night, I didn't work this weekend so hopefully everything came up Sat am like it was supposed to. We could enter orders on most patients, but we couldn't get updated room #s or add or change allergy information. So it wasn't too bad.
Have I mentioned how SWEET this new monitor is? It really is nice, man, pictures look so good. I can't believe it. 0.21 dot-pitch! 18" viewable flat screen? OH YEAH! ...anyone interested in my old monitor? I don't know about ebay...the shipping costs would be prohibitive I think. Maybe I will give it to Goodwill.
Good appointment with my therapist this week. I was having a problem with someone I know. No details-suffice it to say that whatever the truth is, this person is so afraid of it that this person was willing to lose my friendship and respect. Sad, very sad. I pity this person. Like I said, no details. But it felt good to talk to a neutral 3rd party.
I didn't know that McLean Stevenson was dead! He died in 1996, wow! I was wondering why he wasn't on the M*A*S*H reunion show! My mom said he was dead...no way, I said..well, I looked it up! I had no idea! I knew Larry Linville was dead, I remember that!
Anyone know why my Hp DeskJet 950C is possessed? It keeps printing page after page of gibberish, 1 or 2 lines of gibberish per page, page after page, as many times as I can feed it though! My friend Rex at work told me to check the cable, I even bought a new cable and it is still doing it, won't print anything but the gibberish. I feel like just getting a new printer, but if anyone has any ideas... I guess I could e-mail my cousin Sam who works for HP out in MD!
No new blogsticker today, kids, sorry, the stupid Tripod site says there are errors on the site builder page...bummer! You'll just have to wait!

Tired, busy, all these things are hard on us. But we made it! We survived, and will continue to do so. We are great and we know it, it doesn't matter what anyone thinks. ANYONE! And we are not scared..we are brave, we own our "stuff" and if others are not brave enough to do this, too bad for them. We can pity them, but I prefer that we not even think about them, just let them be, not thinking about how sad they may be. Because that might bring us down. Let's continue letting Susan help us to heal. That is the best thing for us. Man, we slept cruddy last night, let's hope for a good night of sleep tonight! Good night, sleep tight, this to us both!
